Meet Wendy

Wendy Broadstreet is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Graduate student at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University where she is a member of Chi Sigma Iota, the International Counseling Honor Society. She is completing her practicum at Lewisville Family Counseling and is pursuing licensure as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA). This is a second career for Wendy. She was a middle school teacher for twenty-nine years and has a BA in English Education from North Carolina State University.                

Wendy incorporates Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing (MI) in her work with clients. She supports clients age ten as well as adults. Wendy is interested in helping adolescents and adults cope with stress, anxiety, and depression. She is also passionate about supporting women as they enter perimenopause and menopause. Wendy provides a safe nurturing environment to support healing and growth for all clients.
